‘Wisconsin Huddle’ launches fourth season;
 student athletes to host show highlighting university sports programs

MADISON — “Wisconsin Huddle,” the only state-wide show giving exclusive access and insight into the world of Wisconsin athletics, launches its fourth season the week of Sept. 7.

“Wisconsin Huddle” features a different Wisconsin athlete as a co-host each week. It will again be hosted by WISC News 3 Now Sports Director Andrew Bandstra.

The show will include sports highlights, but it will also allow viewers to get to know the student athletes off the field. It will include fun segments showcasing the athletes’ hobbies and passions, along with fun games and contests.

It airs on stations throughout Wisconsin, including Madison, Milwaukee, La Crosse and Marquette, MI. The show’s co-producer is TEAM LAMMI, a full-service Milwaukee sports marketing and entertainment agency, with 25+ years of sports marketing experience and over 1,000 episodes produced nationwide.

Past co-hosts have included UW star football players Braelon Allen and Chimere Dike, along with stars from the UW men’s basketball, women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and women’s hockey teams.

The show will be recorded weekly either onsite or at WISC’s Studio in Madison. A new host location this season for three episodes is Princeton Club Madison, a health and athletic club with three Madison locations.

The first episode will be recorded Sept. 9 at 7 pm at Princeton Club Madison’s West Location at 8080 Watts Road.

In all, the show has provided more than $1 million to UW students through the NIL program.

“We are thrilled to launch the fourth season of this very popular show,” said Brian Lammi, founder and CEO of TEAM LAMMI. “We love being able to work with amazing student athletes to showcase their stories and give fans a look at what drives them both on and off the field.”

Scot Chastain, vice president and general manager of WISC-TV and VP of Marketing for Morgan Murphy Media, said the station and its Wisconsin-based owner Morgan Murphy Media are proud to partner with TEAM LAMMI again on the show.

“As dedicated supporters of Wisconsin athletics, we're excited to provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of our student athletes,” he said. “This season, we are especially looking forward to having News 3 Now’s Sports Director Andrew Bandstra host the show for the second year in a row. His enthusiasm and knowledge of Wisconsin sports delivers great energy and perspective to the program.

“We’re eager to continue celebrating Wisconsin’s talented athletes and sharing their stories with fans across the state."
